March was certainly a month of extremes here at VR. When we started writing this blog a few weeks ago, we were intending to talk about how we’d refreshed our brand and launched a new website. It was all very exciting and we felt that it was the start of a great 2020.

But, like everyone, we’ve seen things change dramatically in a matter of weeks. Our focus has quickly shifted from the new website to the more urgent task of ensuring the safety of our team and the continuation of our services.

We’ve had to adapt our ways of working during this challenging time but have been lucky enough to be able to stay open for business and keep things running pretty much as normal, albeit from our respective homes. We recognise that we’re fortunate to be in a tech industry with systems in place that allow us to work remotely and keep all our staff members safe.

So we’re starting to feel that we can turn our attention back to the things we wanted to say in the blog we started at the beginning of March. We’d like to tell you a bit about who we are and what we do. We’d also love it if you’d take a look around our new website. But we understand if now is not the right time for you. Maybe you’ll check in at a later date.

New look, new website

With a decade in business under our belt, we thought it was time to refresh our brand and website to showcase more clearly what we’re all about.

The process of developing our new website and image has made us really sit down and think about what we do best and what goals we have for the future. It’s also given us a chance to reflect on everything we’ve achieved in the last 10 years, and the many fantastic people we’ve worked with along the way.

We’ve spent the last decade building our team and honing our strengths and expertise in CGI, architectural visualisation and virtual imagery. We’ve won awards for our work and are proud to say we’ve established ourselves among the best CGI and animation studios in the UK. We’ve focused on keeping step with technological advances to maintain our position as a leader in our industry.

With a strong reputation for our creativity and reliability, we now work alongside development agencies, architects, interior and graphic designers, PR agencies, advertisers, developers and land agents both in the UK and internationally.

We offer a range of visualisation techniques and presentational packages, to suit every budget, purpose and project stage.

Our software, rendering, production and post-production facilities are excellent, enabling us to carry out each and every project to the highest standard possible. Our offices include green screen facilities and a client demonstration area, as well as a spacious production studio featuring a 6m x 5m infinity cove, backdrops, make-up area and kitchen.

We’ve continued to build on our expertise in some key growth areas such as verified imagery, where we’ve seen a rise in demand, particularly for bigger development schemes and planning applications. We’ve focused on providing a handful of services that we do extremely well, and now offer the following:

We craft computer generated imagery of a range of interiors and exteriors for use at all stages of the development process, from concept to construction.

• Augmented and Virtual Reality

This rapidly-changing area of visualisation is full of creative possibility and we love helping our clients showcase their ideas in this unique and immersive way.

• Photomontage and Verified Views

These allow clients to interweave their concept with a photograph of a real life location. By adding verifiable visual accuracy, it allows the image to be scrutinised in detail during the planning process.

• 360 Degree Virtual Tours

We use our expertise to bring projects to life with this immersive and engaging technology. These kind of virtual tours are ideal for showcasing homes, hotels and visitor attractions.

• Short Film / Animation

We use our cinematic and design experience to showcase developments in a creative way.

• Furniture and Set Modelling

The options are endless with this latest trend in marketing and sales. We create your product in 3D and then place it wherever our client wishes – be it within a virtual landscape, within an app or on a 360 turntable.
